Kim is a native of Atlanta, Georgia who now lives in the Alpharetta/Milton area. She has loved art and writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil or a paint brush but has only been selling her abstract, contemporary still life, and plein air landscape paintings for the last fifteen years. She taught elementary school for thirty plus years and enjoyed painting and writing only in her spare time until recently. Kim became a full-time artist working in oils, acrylics and watercolors in 2014. Each work of art is a result of joyfully splashing paint around to create a beautiful image of something or nothing. The inspiration that brings color to canvas and the finished product are always a wonder to her. She has just published her first two children's books in the Sally, Pea, and Me series. As for her stories, she inspires kids to leave screens behind to find adventure in creating fun activities in unique and entertaining ways!
